I am a software developer by trade. A number of years ago I was running a Saturday golf league. I'd had a fancy spreadsheet passed on to my by the previous league commissioner. It was winter, I was bored because we (I) don't golf in the winter. I figured I'd just convert the spreadsheet and put it into a database and code up a bit of a front-end for it. I worked on it some that winter, and through the next year, until I had a pretty well functioning website. I have been building that over the years, but also picked up commissioner duties on another league. So I figured I would start a new site. But this time I went into it with a little more foresight, and started making things like points calculations and team makeup dynamic. Hence this site was born.
I have added a couple other leagues that I run off this same software, and if I get it matured along far enough I would like to start selling the services of this site. If you are reading this and are interested in me hosting your leagues website, you can reach out to me at foreadmin@fbumg.com
