It is imperative that people show up and are ready to golf on time, and can't stress this enough. This isn't like outdoor golf where you are paying for 9 or 18 holes of golf. You are paying based on time, two hours of time in our case. So when our two hours is up, we need to get off the screen. If your round is not done, too bad. For that reason we will not hold the other people on your bay up just becaue you couldn't make it on time. Now, if you have communicated to us and you will only be a minute or two late, and the players sharing a bay with you are ok with it, then we may indeed hold your spot. But by default, if you are late and we get started, you will just have to make up the round later.
You may make up rounds either before or after the scheduled event. Whether before or after, it is your responsibility to work with Josh at Beyond Golf to schedule that round. The makeup round won't cost you any more, but it must be done at a time when he has free bays. This is typically in the early afternoon on a weekday, but work with Josh on that. It is also your responsibilty to get me your hole scores once that round is complete. If making up a round after a scheduled event, then you have until the following event to get that round made up. Last year I was too lenient on that and it caused problems.
If you are not able to make up your round, or just don't want to play, you may have someone sub for you. The person that subs may be pretty much anyone you want, but if it is someone in the league then I will create them a "Sub" slot on the league and they will play as a "new" player. This is to not have it affect their real handicap. You are free to find your own sub, or I can help find one for you.
Handicaps are based on scores entered into this site only, based on courses played in this league. New players will have their handicap calculated off of their first round, and that score will count in handicaps calculations going forward. For all players, we only use the last 6 scores, dropping the highest of those score. We then take 90% of the average of those used scores, then "floor" the result to give you an actual handicap number.
